End-to-End Premium Skincare Packaging

See how Nu Allume’s pro-menopause skincare range achieved a cohesive, high-quality packaging system. Thoughtful materials, consistent finishes, and full-service support bring the brand’s vision to life.

About Nu Allume

Nu Allume was created to address a conversation long overlooked in skincare. As the world’s first pro-menopause skincare line to recognise the relationship between the skin microbiome and menopause, the brand is grounded in research and guided by care.

Building a Calm, Cohesive Packaging System for Nu Allume

premium skincare packaging

This project came to us as Nu Allume prepared to launch its core skincare range. The brief was not about creating a single statement piece. It was about building a packaging system — one that could scale, accommodate multiple formats, and remain cohesive without adding unnecessary complexity for the brand team.

From the outset, Nu Allume chose a measured path. The products are designed to support skin through transition — gently, steadily, without excess. The packaging needed to reflect that same mindset: calm, considered, and dependable.

Thinking in Systems, Not Single Packs

The range included six distinct packaging components: a cleanser tube, a serum dropper bottle, a cream jar, individual product boxes, a gift set, and a branded face cloth. Each served a different purpose, used a different substrate, and interacted differently with the end user.

Consistency across glass, plastic, paper, and fabric, was the central challenge. Rather than forcing uniformity, the focus was on shared standards: colours that translate reliably across materials, finishes that feel premium without being delicate, and details that feel intentional rather than decorative.

Our role was to translate these principles into production-ready decisions — aligning structure, materials, finishes, and timelines as a single, coordinated process rather than a series of disconnected components.

Materials That Feel Considered

For the 120 ml cleanser, a screw-top tube was selected for its everyday reliability. A custom blue base colour anchors the product visually, paired with a foil-stamped logo and gold cap to introduce definition without disrupting the calm tone of the range.

The 50g cream jar applies the same logic in a different form. A clear round glass jar was chosen for its weight and transparency, finished with a custom gold metal lid to echo the tube’s detailing. Different formats, one visual language — designed to feel cohesive both on shelf and in use.

The 30 ml serum dropper bottle continues this quiet consistency. The glass bottle features a custom blue colour developed to sit comfortably alongside the rest of the range, paired with a dropper finished with a gold rim and white top for subtle contrast. A screen print keeps the design restrained and legible, while gold foil stamping is used selectively for the logo, adding depth without excess. Finished in gloss, the bottle catches light gently — enough to signal quality, without breaking the calm visual rhythm of the system.

Across all components, the emphasis remained on harmony rather than sameness.

Outer Packaging That Works Hard, Quietly

A classic tuck box was used as the standard outer structure across the range. Glue-free and easy to open and re-close, it offers practical reliability without unnecessary complexity — a structure well suited to both sustainability and everyday handling.

The gift set builds on this foundation with a custom insert, designed to separate and protect the face cloth and dropper bottle. Each component has a defined place, supporting order during packing, transit, and unboxing.

Printed on high-quality white card stock, the outer packaging combines CMYK artwork with foil-stamped logos and selective gloss detailing. These finishes were tested early across substrates, ensuring visual consistency and reducing the risk of last-minute adjustments.

The result is packaging that feels premium yet controlled — suitable for retail and gifting while remaining cost-conscious and operationally reliable.

When Accessories Matter

Accessories are often the most challenging elements to execute well. The custom face cloth could easily have been treated as secondary, but here it was approached as an integral part of the core experience.

Multiple samples were reviewed to meet standards for softness, absorbency, and zero linting. Finished with a woven label, the cloth aligns visually and materially with the rest of the range.

It is a small detail, but one that reinforces the brand’s emphasis on care, consistency, and thoughtful design.

Behind the Scenes

From a production perspective, the project required close coordination. Different substrates respond differently to processes such as foil stamping, making pre-production testing essential to achieving consistent results.

By managing all components through a single point of contact, timelines remained clear and aligned. This reduced supplier back-and-forth and allowed the Nu Allume team to focus on launch planning rather than packaging logistics.

The Result

For the Nu Allume team, the outcome was more than a finished set of packs. It was a packaging system that arrived resolved — structurally, visually, and operationally.

Each component works independently, yet aligns seamlessly with the rest of the range. Formats, materials, and finishes were delivered with consistency already built in, reducing the need for ongoing adjustments as the range moves from launch into scale.

Behind the scenes, the value was in clarity. Fewer suppliers to manage. Fewer variables left to chance. Decisions tested early, locked in with confidence, and carried through production with minimum surprises.

The result is packaging that the brand team can rely on — not just for how it looks on shelf, but for how it performs across production, logistics, and future extensions of the range.

For brands, that reliability matters. A packaging partner who understands how to balance brand intent with real-world constraints, and who can hold complexity together quietly, so the rest of the business can move forward with certainty.
